A more human approach to postpartum in the workplace

At Pura Vida Flow, postpartum is not approached solely as physical recovery.

It is understood as a deep transition period that can impact mental health, body image, energy, confidence and women’s overall balance.

Pura Vida Flow offers support specifically designed for this reality through movement, emotional support and human connection.

The goal is to help companies better support their employees during this period with an approach that is more human, progressive and adapted to the real experiences of new mothers.

After going through postpartum depression, I became aware of a reality that is still talked about far too little: 1 in 5 women go through this period in silence, with little support and very few spaces truly designed for them.

Movement played an important role in my own healing journey. But I also realized that beyond physical activity, women needed support that was more human, more global and more adapted to the reality of postpartum. This is what led me to retrain as a fitness coach, specialize in pre and postnatal coaching and become certified in mental health first aid.

Before that, I spent more than 15 years in the corporate world, including several years in leadership positions at Oreegami, where I contributed to the company’s growth and structuring. I personally experienced postpartum while holding executive leadership roles, with the demands, mental overload and performance expectations that come with them.

This dual experience now allows me to understand both the reality women experience during postpartum and the human, organizational and business challenges companies face. Today, Pura Vida Flow supports companies with a human, concrete and deeply lived approach to postpartum and the return from maternity leave.

More than a program

Their stories. Their words.

This was my second postpartum experience, and I constantly felt exhausted between breastfeeding and taking care of my two young children. I no longer felt like myself, I had lost my sparkle, and I could tell my body needed to move again, but in the right way. I reached out to Laura, and her motherhood-focused approach was truly exceptional! She took the time to listen carefully, understand my goals, ask thoughtful questions about my postpartum recovery, and assess how I was feeling physically before creating a program that was perfectly tailored to my needs. After just a few sessions, I felt mentally stronger, had more energy, and had already started losing some weight! Laura is highly skilled, professional, warm, supportive, enthusiastic, and incredibly encouraging. I recommend her coaching 1000%. Thank you for everything!

Laura is a passionate coach, incredibly generous, and always full of positive energy! I truly appreciate her guidance, professionalism, attention to detail, and high standards. She supports women during one of the most delicate stages of their lives and genuinely cares for each of her clients with kindness and compassion. I wholeheartedly recommend her. Ladies, you’ll be in excellent hands!

Thanks to Laura and Pura Vida Flow, I was able to get back into exercise after giving birth with a program tailored specifically to me. I feel stronger, I’m gradually rebuilding confidence in my body, and I finally have a dedicated moment each week that’s just for me.

Laura is a gentle, caring, and attentive coach who truly listens. She takes the time to explain every exercise and correct your posture (which is very important to me!). Throughout the entire session, I could tell that Laura genuinely wanted every participant to feel comfortable and supported.

I really enjoyed the exercises she chose. They were accessible and could easily be adapted to each person’s needs and fitness level. I especially appreciated that they were low-impact while still engaging the muscles deeply. By the end of the session, I left feeling great, both physically and mentally refreshed. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend Laura as a coach.

I’ve known Laura for quite some time, and I’ve always admired her passion for sports. Since becoming a mom, I felt that the challenges of everyday life and caring for my daughter were obstacles to taking care of myself. Thanks to Laura, I completely changed my perspective. She taught me to embrace this new chapter of my life, accept its challenges, and, most importantly, continue taking care of my body by staying active. With Laura, I always feel safe, supported, and never judged, even when my daughter joins me during our sessions. That kindness and understanding make all the difference.

I’m deeply grateful to her because getting back into exercise with her was the very first thing I did for myself after becoming a mother. Thanks to her guidance and encouragement, I’ve rediscovered the joy of moving my body and making time for myself. Laura has had a truly positive impact on my life, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to every mom who wants to return to exercise at her own pace, feeling supported and confident.
